HSBC ACCUSED OF LAUNDERING OVER £5M DIRECTLY TO TORY HQ

HSBC ACCUSED OF LAUNDERING OVER £5MILLION DIRECTLY TO TORY HQ

Roger Mullin, SNP Treasury spokesperson, has sent a shocking letter to Claire Bassett, Chief Executive of Party and Election Finances at The Electioral Commission.

In the letter Mr Mullin refers to ‘serious allegations’ made at the HSBC bank AGM.

At the AGM Fionn Travers-Smith from Move Your Money, accused HSBC of giving significant ‘loans to a company called IPGL led by the former Treasurer of the Conservative party & current chair of the Conservative party foundation Mr Michael Spencer.’

‘In essence the allegation was not refuted, was that HSBC loaned to IPGL over £200m from 6th October 2008 onwards. The company was in some financial distress. Despite this it is reported that in excess of £5 million of HSBC loans have been laundered directly to Conservative Headquarters.’

Mr Mullin has called for an immediate investigation into the allegations by The Electioral Commission.

Roger Mullin has asked four key questions that need to be answered as soon as possible, especially as the UK is currently holding a snap General Election.

1. Did HSBC and IPGL inform the Electioral Commission of all donations to the Conservative party during the period IPGL was in receipt of a substantial loan from HSBC?

2. What is the Electioral Commission’s policy where banks loans to companies in distresss are then laundered to party political donations?

3. Will the Electioral Commission launch an immediate investigation into whether electioral law has been broken by HSBC and IPGL since 2008?

4. In the Electioral Commission’s view have such loans any implications for full and proper declarations relating to the 2017 General Election?

The serious nature of these allegations should send shockwaves in Conservative HQ and comes on top of the 2015 Tory Election fraud, with the Crown Prosecution Service set to announce in the next few weeks if anyone will face criminal charges.

Theresa May should be very worried!

THE SUN EDITORIAL REVEALS WHAT THE TORIES HAVE PLANNED FOR OUR NHS

THE SUN REVEALS WHAT THE TORIES HAVE PLANNED FOR OUR NHS

In today’s (28/04/17) Sun newspaper editorial, the paper attacked our NHS and in doing so revealed how it would like to see the NHS run, after a possible Theresa May landslide General election victory.

The Sun is owned by Worldwide media billionaire Rupert Murdoch, who owns 3 national newspapers and is currently trying to get full control of UK Sky TV.He has massive power and influence over the Conservative party.  Mr Murdoch also helps the Conservative party plant it’s agenda in his flagship newspaper The Sun, read by over 1,666,715m readers.

So today’s editorial comes as no surprise to many from the left. As many people fear that the Tory agenda of destroying our National Health service by running it to the ground, selling it off to the highest bidder and bringing in charges for patients, will become a reality, if Theresa May wins on 8th June.

UNITE UNION CONDEMN TOM WATSON

20/03/17

On Monday morning Tom Watson, Deputy Leader of the Labour party, said Grassroots Labour group Momentum is hoping to get financial support from Britain’s largest trade union, Unite.

He said on BBC Radio 4’s Today “enough is enough, this has got to stop… I’m afraid there are some people who do not have our electoral interests at heart”.

Mr Watson said: “We have never seen the biggest union organising a political faction in the Labour Party with the tacit approval of the leadership.”

Mr Watson said he had a duty to “call out” what appeared to be a “secret plan” to take over the Labour Party and he urged Mr McCluskey to publicly state Unite would not fund Momentum under his leadership.

The Unite Union issued the following statement:

“As Unite has made it clear it is exclusively for our executive council to determine which organisations we affiliate to. There are no plans for Unite to affiliate to Momentum. For the record, Len McCluskey has never met Jon Lansman to discuss this or any other matter.

“It is extraordinary that the deputy leader of the Labour party should  interfere in Unite’s democracy in this way, and it is very disappointing that he was allowed to make his unsupported claims without being challenged, and that the BBC ignored the Unite statement with which it had been provided well in advance.

“Mr Watson’s latest, and misguided, campaign is part of an unprecedented pattern of interference in the current Unite general secretary election by elected Labour politicians who should, frankly, be concentrating on their own responsibilities.

“Mr Watson is a Unite member with a right to a vote and a view. But he should remember that, first, he is deputy leader of the Labour party with the obligations that this senior post imposes, and second that Unite is not a subsidiary of any political organisation.”

Unite has complained to the BBC Radio 4 Today programme that the statement the union provided in good faith last night was only used in part and following representations from the union this morning. The union has also complained that Mr Watson was allowed to make his extraordinary claims about Unite and its general secretary without being subject to any demand for evidence.”

HAPPY XMAS FROM ARMED POLICE

2016 has been an awful year for so many reasons. But today this was posted on FaceBook.

HAPPY XMAS

From Northumbria police

Our Firearms Support Unit (FSU) have been taking in the fantastic atmosphere of Newcastle’s Christmas market this morning.
It may be a bit chilly out and about but there have been a lot of smiley faces with there being just two more Fridays until Christmas!
Don’t be alarmed if you do see our armed officers, they are there purely for reassurance and to make people feel safe.
These patrols have begun following the announcement from the Home Office last year that armed patrols would be stepped up across the country.
Our FSU officers are just regular police at the end of the day and if you have any concerns make sure you go and have a chat.

THE CHANCELLOR’S BIG ‘CON’ ON THE NATIONAL LIVING WAGE!

THE CHANCELLOR’S BIG ‘CON’ ON THE NATIONAL LIVING WAGE!

The chancellor will unveil in the autumn statement, that the National living wage will rise to £7.50 an hour in 2017. He will use this announcement to feed into the spin that the government are on the side of the “just about managing” – or “Jams”.

But according to forecasts by the independent Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), an advisory public body established by the UK government to provide independent economic forecasts, the National living wage should go up to £7.60 in 2017, if it is to reach the government pledge of £9.00 an hour by 2020.

So Philip Hammond is in fact making a cut to the lowest paid workers wages by 10p an hour.

NEWSPAPERS OF THE ‘LEFT’ SHOW TRUE COLOURS!

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER ANTI-CORBYN STORY!

By Aran MacDermott

Since last September when Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader of the Labour party by the largest percentage of votes in the party’s history.

The Left-wing mainstream Newspapers  the Guardian and Daily Mirror have been luke warm at best towards Jeremy Corbyn and his mandate from Labour members to move the direction of the party back to its roots, to be more democratic and move away from the ideas of ‘New’ Labour.

Last month, in the aftermath and chaos of the UK public voting to leave the EU.’New’ Labour MP’s seized their moment to try and trigger a coup against Mr Corbyn. He caught wind of the plot and sacked the ring leader Hilary Benn.

We all know what followed Shadow Cabinet Ministers resigning, 172 MP’s voting for a motion of no confidence in the Leader, 10,000’s holding rallys across the Country in support of Corbyn, over 200,000 new members, Chilcot, the Trade Unions backing Corbyn and a Leadership challege..

So how have the two main left-wing newpapers in the Country, chosen to refect this historic battle for the soul of the Labour movement?

This was the Daily Mirror’s advice to Jeremy Corbyn last week…

Both The Guardian and Daily Mirror’s editorial line that ‘ Jeremy Corbyn should step down’ goes against their own research that shows their readership do not agree with them.

Today after weeks of inaction Angela Eagle is set to announce that she will force a Leadership race with or maybe without Jeremy Corbyn on the ballot paper.

Here is how Today’s Guardian ‘report’ it..

And Daily Mirror

JEREMY CORBYN- “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL..”

JEREMY CORBYN STATEMENT
30th June 2016

image

” United we stand, divided we fall is one of the oldest and truest slogans of the labour movement.

After last week’s referendum, our country faces major challenges. Risks to the economy and living standards are growing. The public is split.

The Government is in disarray. Ministers have made it clear they have no exit plan, but are determined to make working people pay with a new round of cuts and tax rises.

Labour has the responsibility to give a lead where the Government will not. We need to bring people together, hold the Government to account, oppose austerity and set out a path to exit that will protect jobs and incomes.

To do that we need to stand together. Since I was elected leader of our party nine months ago, we have repeatedly defeated the Government over its attacks on living standards. Last month, Labour become the largest party in the local elections. In Thursday’s referendum, a narrow majority voted to leave, but two thirds of Labour supporters backed our call for a Remain vote.

I was elected leader of our party, for a new kind of politics, by 60% of Labour members and supporters.  The need for that different approach now is greater than ever.

Our people need Labour Party members, trade unionists and MPs to unite. As leader it is my continued commitment to dedicate our party’s activity to that goal.”

JEREMY CORBYN FULL STATEMENT ON ‘NO CONFIDENCE VOTE’

image

Jeremy corbyn issued the following statement, after 172 Labour MPs supported a motion of ‘No Confidence’ in his leadership.

“In the aftermath of last week’s referendum, our country faces major challenges. Risks to the economy and living standards are growing. The public is divided.

I was democratically elected leader of our party for a new kind of politics by 60% of Labour members and supporters, and I will not betray them by resigning. Today’s vote by MPs has no constitutional legitimacy.

We are a democratic party, with a clear constitution. Our people need Labour party members, trade unionists and MPs to unite behind my leadership at a critical time for our country.”

BLAIR’S FIRST OPEN ATTACK ON CORBNY’S LABOUR PARTY

image

Tony Blair has not openly commented on the Labour party under Jeremy Corbyn, until now.

But In the Christmas issue of Right-wing UK magazine ‘The Spectator’,  the former Prime Minister has written a blog attacking the way Jeremy Corbyn is running the Labour party and the direction Corbyn is taking the party.

” All wings of the Labour Party which support the notion of the Labour Party as a Party aspiring to govern, rather than as a fringe protest movement agree on the tragedy of the Labour Party’s current position.”

Blair forgets that Jeremy Corbyn was elected Leader of the Labour party with the biggest mandate from members in living memory, with almost 60% voting for him.

Blair contues: ” Right now we’re in danger of not asking the right questions never mind failing to get the right answers. All of it is about applying values with an open mind; not boasting of our values as a way of avoiding the hard thinking the changing world insists upon.”

Blair forgets that membership for the Labour party is higher than at anytime under him.

Whichever party people from the centre left in the UK support. All would agree that Blair’s vision for our Country is out of date and is for the few and not the many.

1.9 Million people have just lost the ‘Right to vote’

image

1.9 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE LOST THE RIGHT TO VOTE❌

AFTER THE HOUSE OF LORDS FAIL TO INFLICT A SECOND DEFEAT ON THE GOVERNMENT.❌

❌ Peers voted 257 to 246 in favour of the Government’s plans to introduce individual voter registration from December.

❌ From December, all household members must register by themselves or face being removed from the register.

❌The new Individual Electoral Registration (IER) process will particularly affect those in rented accommodation and urban areas, who are less likely to register, and students, because universities and colleges no longer ‘block register’ students living in halls of residence.

❌Despite warnings from the Electoral Commission about the dangers of disenfranchising legitimate voters, ministers believe many of the names are bogus and have speeded up by 12 months plans to “modernise” the system with individual registration.

” The Government has acted without reliable information on how many redundant entries will be removed at the end of this year and how many eligible electors will need to re-register ahead of May 2016.”

“Taking into account…the scale and importance of the polls scheduled for next May, we continue to recommend that the end of transition should take place in December 2016 as currently specified in legislation”

It concludes: “We therefore recommend that Parliament does not approve this order.”

❌Arguing for a delay, Liberal Democrat peer Lord Tyler, a former MP, said he had never heard a statutory body express its view with “such clarity”.

“The official estimate is that 1.9 million people who are currently on the register and were on it at the general election in May will be dropped off it,” he said. “At a stroke, ministers are prepared to disenfranchise huge numbers of electors.”
